I'm interested in how technology, especially artificial intelligence, shapes human experience. My academic research focuses on the ethical and epistemic dimensions of media and technology, particularly artificial intelligence and social epistemology. I teach a graduate seminar on the ethics of AI at Western University.

In the CAIO role at VidCruiter, I help to navigate the complex and challenging landscape of the use of AI in hiring and recruitment, a notoriously difficult area of application with many ethical and practical challenges. Having worked in software development and management roles for more than twenty years alongside my academic career, with the rapid growth of AI I've found this increasingly converging with my academic interests.

Public speaking and outreach are important parts of my work in both areas and something I always love to do. I've given talks, keynotes and hosted workshops in a variety of academic and industry settings.
